Day 1. Arrive in Kunming
Upon arrival at Kunming, the guide will greet you at the airport and then transfer you to hotel. Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan, enjoys the reputation of City of Eternal Spring. If time permits, the guide will take you to stroll around the Flower and Birds Market, where you can not only enjoy the flower and birds, but also see the traditional Chinese arts, China knots, wooden sculptures, etc.

Day 2. Kunming: Stone Forest (AB, L)
After breakfast, drive about 1.5 hours to Stone Forest, an extremely rare geological phenomenon dating back to 270 million years ago. Occupying about 90 hectares, the Stone Forest is the karst limestone pillars in fantastic shapes that resemble a forest viewed from a distance, which is also home to the Sani tribe, a branch of the diverse and scattered Yi Monirity, which is famous for its diligence, dancing and embroidery. On the way, visit a Yi minority village.

Day 3. Kunming to Dali (AB, L)
In the morning, transfer to airport to board the flight to Dali. Upon arrival, visit the Three Pagodas and take cruise on the Ehai Lake. Afterwards, visit the Dali Ancient Town, which is like a chess board with four gates guarding in the directions of east, west, south and north. Stroll around this 1300 years old town.

Day 4. Dali to Lijiang (AB, L)
After breakfast, drive about 3 hours to Lijiang. On the way, stop and visit the Bai Minority’s village and market. Upon arrival at Lijiang, visit the Lijiang Ancient Town, a gathering place of the Naxi minority, which has been listed as an UNESCO world monument, as well as Dongba Culture Museum. Lijiang Ancient Town is a mountain town of stone and tile, laced with canals and lanes.

Day 5. Lijiang (AB, L)
In the morning, visit the Yak Meadow of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Then, visit the Baisha Frescos and the Former Residence of Joseph Rock.

Day 6. Lijiang to Shangri-La (AB, L)
In the morning, drive about 200km to Shangri-La. Stop at Stone Drum Town for a dramatic view of the First Bend of the Yangtze River. Then visit the one of the most famous gorges in the world - Tiger Leaping Gorge. Upon arrival, drive to the ancient town of Shangri-La. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this ancient city.

Day 7. Shangri-La (AB, L)
After breakfast, visit Gedan Songzanglin Monastery, which was built in the 17th century and nicknamed as Lesser Potala Palace, with 700 monks and one living Buddha. Then, visit the Pudacuo National Park with virgin forest of spruce, pine and meadow dotted with wild flowers and tranquil lakes.

Day 8. Shangri-La to Kunming (AB)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for morning flight to Kunming. Your classic Yunnan tour ends.
