Day 1

  • Your Japan vacation begins! Depart for Fukuoka, Japan via Narita. 

 

Day 2

Arrival 

 

 

  • “Yokoso!” or “Welcome” to Fukuoka, Japan! You will be greeted by a Super Value Tours representative at the airport and escorted to your hotel.
  • Tonight, explore the local area or rest before official plans begin tomorrow. 
  •  For dinner, we have arranged a Hakata-style Mizutaki (chicken broth hotpot) to soothe your stomach after a long trip.

Day 3

Fukuoka  Nagasaki  Unzen 

 

 

  • Glover Garden: See the oldest Western-style houses and take in a panoramic view of the city and harbor. 
  • Nagasaki Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Museum: A symbol of commitment to peace.
  • Unzen Onsen: Relax in a hot spring town. The hot springs here have a higher acidity and are said to have antiseptic and beautification qualities.
  •  Unzen Kyushu Onsen Hotel: Unwind and enjoy the hot springs at your leisure. Japanese custom suggests trying the baths three times. Once after you check in, once after dinner, and once in the morning.

Day 4

Unzen  Kumamoto  Kagoshima

 

 

  • Mt. Unzen Diaster Memorial Hall: Discover the significance of the volcanic activity in the region. The Memorial Hall serves as a reminder of mother nature's powerful dynamics. 
  • Unzendake Luxury Ferry: Cruise from Shimabara (Western) to Kumamoto (Eastern) Kyushu.
  • Kumamoto City Tour: From the beautiful ports to the luscious green hilltops, enjoy the highlights of Kumamoto. 
  • Kumamoto Castle: Visit the best preserved Edo-style castle. Unique in its vast grounds and structures, Kumamoto Castle is one of Japan's top three famous castles. 
  • (Tonight, please prepare a carry-on bag with belongings for 2 days/1 night so you can travel light on the Shinkansen (bullet train) tomorrow. Your tour guide will arrange the transfer of your large suitcases to our hotel at the Ota Onsen.)

  • Ibusuki Hakusuikan Onsen Hotel: Celebrated for its open-air baths and unique sand baths, let your body indulge in these amenities and wash away any lingering travel fatigue. 
  •   At Super Value Tours, we want to make sure you have choices when it comes to meals. Tonight you have the option of having Italian cuisine deliciously crafted with local ingredients and organic produce or Ibusuki-style Kaiseki banquet.

  • Shinkansen: Zip through the southwestern coast of Kyushu on a bullet train and fully enjoy the serene beauty of the Japanese countryside. 
  • Mt. Aso: Take a cable car trip up to Mt. Aso to witness an active volcano and one of the largest craters in the world. 
  • Ota Hanamura Onsen: Rest in an oasis nestled away in the peaceful mountain forest of Yufu. Ota Hanamura Onsen is a traditional luxury Ryokan where you can experience firsthand Japanese lifestyle and hospitality.

 Ota Hot Spring  Beppu  Yufuin  Fukuoka

 

 

  • Yamanami Highway: Travel along Japan’s countryside and arrive at Beppu, a small onsen town with over 200 public hot springs. Beppu is also famous for its eight “Hells” hot springs. 
  • Yufuin: Stroll through a tranquil small town that is known for its Japanese crafts of paper making, ceramics, and woodworking. In addition, the art galleries are not to be missed. 
  • Fukuoka: Enjoy free time exploring one of the busiest cities in Japan with our helpful maps.  
  •   Dinner will not be included tonight so that you may take advantage of unlimited dining option in Downtown Fukuoka. Our hotel is centrally located in city center Fukuoka so you can easily explore the vicinity and try out any eatery for dinner.
